Social Media Task List:
Whether you engage on social media every day, or every couple of days, these are the tasks you should be doing, in order of priority:
Task #1:
Check in on your own pages/accounts. If you are busy, prioritize the ones on which you are most active.
Look for messages or responses to you or about your posts. You should try to respond quickly. Basically as soon as you see it.
Task #2:
Check out those pages (ones that you follow) where you are active… ie, you follow them and make comments yourself.
scroll through their posts and look for ones of interest to you that you might like to comment on.
Make note of any pages or people that you see (ie other commenters) that you think might be good to follow. This is one way to help grow your network. This is very important.
Don’t forget to share other people’s posts that you like. This is a good way to show you are a good “community” member. Other people like that, and will often reward you by following you.
Task #3:
Make new posts.
This can be either original content OR sharing articles or posts of interest from other pages and sites (Pulse, Stumbleupon, etc) and commenting on them.
Sharing relevant content is the “quick & dirty” way of posting content. It’s great when you’re busy, but don’t rely on it too much. Make sure you devote some time to your own, original stuff.
